ADVICE FOR DANCERS
Attitude
A pleasant, happy, manner is necessary whilst working in the club, try to leave all the day's problems behind and come ready to work hard and make your job worthwhile by hitting your set nightly target. If the night is quiet (this will not happen often), do not get disheartened, sit in the corner or sulk and complain, being a professional dancer means you should take the good with the bad. Sometimes, it is not your night for whatever reason, try to remain upbeat and cheerful and don't ask the Manager to leave early, you agreed the working hours when you signed the Dancer Contract.
Bling Bling Bling!!
Bling, bling bling, get lots of the shiny, cubic zirconia, not expensive but effective, also antique chokers are back in fashion, these will definitely get you noticed.
Make Him Fall In Love...
Whilst standing or sitting ensure that you keep a straight back, do not hunch the shoulders, if sitting cross the legs, be a good conversationalist, brush up on current events, football, celebrities, popular television programmes, so that you can easily move around topics of conversation, let your customer do the talking, make sure that he is enjoying your company, call the waitress over to get his drinks, make him feel important, make him fall in love with you - that is the name of the game.
Hair, Make Up, Perfume
Make up and hair should be tended to throughout the night, a quick visit to the Ladies to brush your hair (It can get messy after stage show or several private dances in the VIP booths!), touch up lip-gloss, a little powder, spray of perfume, and you are ready to face the customer.
Dress Sexy!
Use daytime shopping wisely, high street shops now do a wide range of sexy underwear, thongs are last season, tiny boxer knickers enhance a pert bottom. Colour co-ordinate with bra and t-shirt, sheer lingerie or costumes; get enthusiastic about dressing up, try varying styles to find the right one to suit you, one that you are comfortable in. Show that you are in control and you will be in demand - good vibes are infectious. Exude sexuality, try to stand out and dare to be different, remember you are in competition, there will be many glamorous dancers in the same club, but none like you!
Personal Hygiene!
Personal hygiene and dental hygiene is necessary, you will be in close proximity to your customer, he needs to like what he is seeing and smelling. Brush your teeth and mouthwash before work, please do not chew fresh mint gum in the club.
Skin Care
Dancers should pay particular attention to good skin care routine (weekly facials), have regular manicures, perhaps some nail art from a reputable nail technician, use cuticle and hand cream, not forgetting the feet which are on show all night in high heel shoes!
A Dancers Figure
Dancers should be attractive, slim, graceful, well-groomed and be physically fit and toned. Regular visits to the gym, playing sports, attending any type of dance class is very important for poise and confidence in this profession.
